My Window

Through the window of my room
I see the world pass by,
That scenery from the weavers loom
From garden to the sky

Explodes in colors carefully placed
In artistry so fine;
Except where spoilers have defaced
And marred this jewel of mine

The colors seem to ebb and flow,
Sun journeys through the sky,
That golden orb in evening glow
Will kiss this earth goodbye

And with it fades that cherished view
From window of my room,
To reappear in morning dew
It’s splendor to resume.
